Ok, besides riding your motocycle(s)....what do all of you folks do to keep your mind/body from rotting? Do you read, rob 7-11's, pick up slutty women....or what?

How about exercise? Do you bicycle, walk, run, hike, play basketball, soccer, volleyball, have hot monkey sex (with or without monkeys), cuffing the carrot, belting the hog, or some other sport/form of exercise?

I used to read quite a bit...Stephen King kinda stuff....and I have always read motorcycle, mtn bike, hot rod, and popular science type mags.

For exercise, I usually take my wiry ass running 3 times a week, and I try to mtn bike on weekends, as well as some curls and pushups throw in to mix it up. I go hiking whenever I can as well. Hiking and mtn biking are my number one hobbies besides riding my viffer. I want to bag some more peaks (mtns) this year. Maybe Whitney or Shasta if I am lucky and find a freak like me wanting to go. I like to be outside when I exercise, so I have cancelled my gym membership long ago.

Speak up folks...don't be shy like the Wizard of Noz (just messin's Noz)!

I work for Burton Snowboards, so snowboarding replaces the VFR in the wintertime. I hit the slopes almost every weekend there is snow. This upcoming weekend is not happening, due to the annual January Thaw in the Northeast. Bring on the snow!!! :smow:

But the tools stay active all winter in the garage, since I work on my cars, too. I haven't let a mechanic touch any of my vehicles (except for mounting and balancing tires, which they still f**k up  )for 12 years. As we speak, my VFR fairing-less (except the top piece), getting the winter once-over.

I also buid scale models of cars and motorcycles when I can find the time, although I haven't sniffed any Testors for about a year now.

Speaking of models, I initially found my interest in the VFR by building Tamiya's EXCELLENT 1987 VFR750R RC30 model in the RWB sceme. Mine has gold wheels, though.

I have been feverishly working on the modifications to my machine and I'm still not done, so that's a fun activity right now. The whole modification process has been going pretty good and I still have quite a bit left to do, so that will take up some time.

As I don't work from mid December until mid March I also travel off and on almost all winter - I would tell you where I've been in the last year and where I plan on being this year but it wouldn't be nice to all the folks dealing with the nasty rain and snow. I also try to hit at least three of the Supercross races held in January because that is the month of the west coast swing.

My 6 day a week morning work out consists of 3-4 sets of 50 pushups, 4 sets of 150 crunches, 3 sets of 12 rep curls, 3 sets of 12 rep military presses and then a couple times a week I'll hit the stationary bike. Nothing major just trying to keep the old man from looking too old.

I am single, so I definately like the ladies, so that occupies some of my time too. It's hard to get bored in the San Francisco area so I normally plan on doing more things than I get around to.

    Sure! I'm in!
Lots of bicycling. Road biking especially but the Mtn bike as well. Hiking when I can. I used to camp alot (yes, even winter camping) but the fiancee  doesn't do that! I run a few times a week after some exercises on the floor. I always try to crank some good progressive rock or some jazz on the stereo. I try to play WAY TOO MANY musical instruments (drums, flutes, guitars, basses, exotic stuff, etc.) so that is the BIG hobby. I am refinishing a 1930's Deagan Marimba now and have an early 1950's Ludwig & Leedy Vibraphone that is next. Photography when I am motivated. And there is always something to fix or upgrade around the house. There are always 4 or 5 books on the nightstand that get some attention too. :blah: :blah: :blah:

    Here
    And Here

I also mess around with my bikes and ride when I can. Exercise? What's that?

BTW, Stuka, I personally HATE your new avatar. I hate it because it's over too quick! Now if it was about 10 minutes long I could stare at it all day ;)

That's it Nungboy...I hereby declare my official run for the Presidency of VFRWORLD....and I need you as my publicity manager!

What I will push for in my presidency:

    1. Read my lips: NO NEW TAXES! And you can take that to the bank!
    2. Free Porn downloads!
    3. All you can eat at Reggies house on the 4th of July!
    4. More free porn!
    5. A VFRworld Umbrella girl (have to talk to the first lady about that one).
    6. Monthly winner of a "guess place" question wins a mystery prize (prizes include a footlong chili-dog at Wienerschnitziel, and free movie popcorn).
    7. I will insure that all are treated fairly and ridiculed without limits when appropriate!
    8. No embezzling of funds (expect for some In-N-Out burgers on occasion).

Hobbies? Oh, I remember those. I used to enjoy model railroads - HO scale for me, Pouring & painting lead soldiers (maybe inhaled too much lead?), but sailing or fishing on the bay are the mainstays now.

I've enjoyed watching my oldest wrestle the last four years... here's part of the Nozzle Production from last year...

umm, let's see... does drinking beer count as a hobby? oh yeah that's right, I came up with a quote a long time ago... something like... homebrewing takes a bad habit and makes it a hobby. I also work out, read, do crossword puzzles, paint or draw on occasion, ride bikes, work on wiring, etc around here since we are adding on. fart, piss and moan (those are my main hobbies) ;)

The weather is getting nice again, but I've been busy all week fixing damage to servers and networks from last weekend's storms. Maybe get some riding in this weekend.

Tweaked my shoulder last weekend moving a girlfriend into her new place, so I want to get that checked before I break out the snowboard and hit the slopes. Sorry VT, no Burton for me...

Fascinating range of lifestyles and choices, folks! From Drewl's extreme of working all of the time (you SCARE ME) to some of other's multiple interests it is clear that we all have choices and see the world differently. But I am with chomper...I cannot compare to SWINGER PARTIES!!!

And DerStuka, sign me up for the job. Put your boots on, dude. I can churn it out...its gonna get deep in here. I am all for your candidacy...you got vision and the rest of the world is wearing bifocals!

    I'd vote for ya Stuka!

Winter is dirt biking time for me, and this year has been one of the best so far. I'll also throw in a couple days of back country skiing.
