I am changing the brakes and fluid on my 3 rd gen. I noticed the rear brake reservoir was pretty much empty:frown:. I flushed it and put in new fluid. I am concerned that the reservoir sits right next to the R/R which we all Know puts off a lot of heat. I am curious if anyone has had similar issues and any comments..Thanks
Heat up there is nothing to fret about since mc is way below and brake line to rear is always cool. Low level in reservoir is mostly due to brake pad wear, so be sure to check pads and if you replace them, clean and regrease the slider pins upon which the calipers float. also go around and bleed at least 1 oz of moisture -containing brake fluid from each caliper. when's the last time fork oil was changed??
winter I just bought the bike this summer and I have been doing all the maintenance the previous owner never did..plugs,antifreeze,filter,etc.......... I dont know if the fork oil was ever changed,,,any info???
