    why is there a gap in the front of the wind shield?

    According to the Honda web site that opening, at least on the Gen 6s, is there to provide some low speed ventatlation air for the rider. I suppose in Vegas you could put a piece of tape over it to see if really makes any difference.

    I beg to differ..

    The vent is there to alter the flow of air over the top of the screen and actually gives better wind protection than a solid screen. It's an aerodynamic thingy.:blah:

    "Air flowing through a central air vent under the front windshield provides cool air to the rider at low speeds and increases rider comfort at higher speeds."

    Appears we're both right.
