Looks fun, Brian. Hey, that guy in front of you in the beginning seemed to be wearing non-leather gear. I thought you had to have full leathers to do a track day?

Great video SLO! What struck me was all the skidmarks from the previous folks going :puke: that will put a little respect in your throttle hand!

He had a jacket on over the leathers ..... I know I had to double take on that when I was behind him.

That was only my second track day. Tori and I went although I wasnt sure if I felt up to it just about 4 weeks since I crashed. All went well untill .... well, I'll let Tori tell the story.... IT sure is a blast. I didn't get to go as fast on the track from precrash nerves. Not the fact that I might get hurt .... its too darn expensive to fix the bike !

Alright....... im finally getting around to posting up some video. This is more of Brian's footage, but it includes me. I've been waiting for a decent video editing program that can convert MOV files to MPEG, the one i just got works, but sucks. It really kills the quality.

Anywho......... Brian is the camera bike, im immediately in front in the white power ranger costume, and im playing with a guy on a ZX10. He was pretty much in my way the whole time, i put him behind me in the straight-away. :lever: After that, there's not much footage of me, so i stopped the video. :bolt: ....... oh, and keep in mind, we're not allowed to pass on the inside. So i was stuck with him constantly on the outside of every turn.

RVFR, this was back in April so it was still cool, and later on in the day it was windy as a mo-fo !

Speed, you can do either really. The schools cost quite a bit more, but they are worth it if you can afford it. Kinda like good gear. Getting to ride a track is a must !

The cam is mounted on a $30.00 ebay tank mount. It a panasonic TZ1 and is super nice. It does more than I can figure out. But when you get it dialed in it does good footage. I recomend at least a 2 gig high speed card for it.

    Where are you located?

I have been talking about taking one of the courses for over a year now. The holdup for me has been that I need track leathers then I need to pay for it of course... The bike prep I could do in a day...

Speed, the TZ1 is just a picture camera that has video capabilities. Albeit a good quality cam. Its all about the Leica lens !
