Will the petcock from a vf500f work on a vf400?

Hi,

I found out that my fuel tank was leaking, and after replacing all the tubes/clamps and the oring, i believe it is my petcock valve. I've found one online:

But I'm tentative to spend 125 bucks if it doesn't work for the vf400. Anybody know if there are any differences that makes them not compatible?
