After looking the fiche, it looks like a gen 4 front wheel will bolt on to a gen 3 bike. the only difference looks like the bearing spacer, the wheel and rotors are diffrent. Everything else is the same. Has anyone tried this? It seem like I can get a floating rotor upgrade from this change.

    Anyone?

    Thanks
    Robert

 I was under the assumption that this was one of the shared parts across the 3G-4G gap...

Nope, 94-97 front wheels will not work. According to the fiche at servicehonda.com anyway. The wheel is not only different, but if memory serves the brake rotors became the "floating" type in 94. I might have read the fiche wrong, but I am gonna say it won't fit without some other changes along with it.

What about the rear wheel? I really want one a dem 8 spokers and to paint them either gunmetal (grey metalic) or the gold-ish color a la marchesini...

I didn't ride it, but I have put a 96 wheel on my 90 for fitment. I used the 96 spacers, and everything was perfect.
