The title says it,my MAINTENANCE FREE battery went dry and blew up & fried the cdi and solenoid,I did the the all the tests in the clymer manual and the cdi failed. So I need a cdi for my 97 and I can get a cdi from a 93 for cheap ,The basics are the same it seems ,maybe a little different timing or spark curve???I gave up going to the dealer because if it isnt in the computer it wont work.Or if someone on here has a (working)cdi and (working)starter solenoid I would like to talk to you about buying it.Help is appreciated.BTW this site is hands down the best VFR site.NICE.:first:
