After owning 5 Hondas, 1 kawasaki and seeing all the changes and mods that people make to their sportbikes, I now know why there are so few modifications to the VFR; Honda got it right the first time! I have been looking at lots of websites for mods for my '99 vffr and there aren't many. SO, I will leave it with a double bubble windscreen, and a two bros slip on and just ride it. It ain't as fast as my CBRxx1100, not as scary fast as my zx11c, won't pull power wheelies like my cbr 929, or not as comfortable as my bmw k1200rs, but to jump on this , go ride it 3 hours, it is still the bike I would choose. Good job Big Red
Like anything it's a matter of personal choice. I 've just added a fender extender to the front to keep the crap off of the front pipes, a rear hugger which keeps all the crap off the back of the bike, a K&N air filter to improve airflow, and a set of Staintunes for the noise plus losing a load of weight from the back end at the same time. While Honda may have got most of it right, believe me there's room for improvement. But, like i said it's a matter of personal choice.
