Why does my FI light come on when riding?

Ok so I've had my 04 vfr800 up and running for about 2 months now. Recently I got on the interstate from a dead stop at around 120mph I noticed my FI light come on. The bike didn't act funny at all and when I pulled into the gas station I shut it off and when I came out to ride home it fired right up and did just fine. Since then it's came on 2 other times when I have accelerated quickly. Why does this happen? Is it something I should be looking into?

 

There is a diagnostic that you can perform to read the code. It is explained in the Honda shop manual. If you do not have it, you can find it in the downloads section over at VFRDiscussion.com.
