Why does every page on this site take 10sec to load?

New to the site. No matter what I click on, on this site, I have to look at a black screen for 10-15 seconds while the page loads. No other website I've ever been to does this. Is there a setting I can change?
Excuse me if my answer is on the site somewhere. I did search but haven't found my answer yet.

The chatbox

 

Internet providers and connections have different loading speeds. I have to wait no more than a second or two per page. Even with the chat box open.

 

There's a big chunk of java code involved with the chatbox. The arrows on the right side will close it so it won't take the time to load it every page.

If you happen to clear your cache every time you start or close your browser, you'll have to re-download the applet. Also, your browser won't remember that you closed the chatbox if you clear cookies every time too.

 

its the JVM on your pc loading and unloading... for the chatbox
