For me it's styling, all the cosmetic lines in the side fairings to the fuel tank. The bike looks like it's doing 140mph at a stand still. It's also the usable power of the V4. It's not some overpowered liter bike. My all stock 6th gen can still make my eyes big. I would also say that having this great community of VFR World helps. We all love our rides so much. We're so eager to help another member. I commute on my VFR, and I hit the back roads every weekend. I'm so happy, and grateful that I own one.

I can't say I love my bike YET, But I sure like her alot! The only other bike I liked as much as this one, is my old '73 Suzuki GT550 Triple.
I am sure that once I upgrade the suspension, tyres, & get more exsperience riding her I will love her!

I love how it can be good at so many things and I love that it's different from what everybody else has(it seems everybody has a inline4 full-on sportbike). It kinda reminds me of a car that I still regret selling(heavily modded Subaru STI)....after a bad day at work, I still get home with a big smile on my face. :)

Well said, have found that not only is the VFR fall off a log easy to ride and excellent at everything from Sports riding through mountain twisties to distance touring what I most like is the sound mine makes on my slow but steady 25k commute into our city into work during shoulder times, often find I'm in 2nd gear wafting along around 4K > 4.5K loving my perfect mix of GDCs and Carbon can but when I hit a traffic gap under quick acceleration the instant bark is hair raising in its brilliance turning my commute into an event.

The fact that you meet the best people on a Honda factors in as well.

i agree when you guys say its unique and everyone else has the same stuff. I see a lot of r6, cbr and gsxr out here, besides tons of custom choppers and harley guys. When I see some street bikers in some parking lot, they always have to ask what my bike is.

Oh yea and about the V4..sounds sick and pulls hard enough for me. I dont have experience with riding on other Honda engines except a 99 cbr 600 a while ago - But I love my vfr.

LOL! Yeah, I would have to agree.

I miss the 93 VFR I had, but I really miss the 97 VFR most. I had many firsts on that bike (track days, knee dragging, California Superbike School, Saddle Sore 1000, etc.) along with it being a VFR made for great memories.

I can still hear the bark of the shotgun exhaust as the new owner rode away:-(

I agree ,mine is 22years old ,what can i say, the bike does everything effortlessly , comfortable, realiable , sports, tours, looks great ,panniers on, off, i even have two seats ,red, black, if i fancy a change of looks. IF this bike was a woman ,you would never change her .the vfr delivers in every department ,love it ,love it. ps the wife gets jelious of the bike ,says i think more of it than her lol ,i tell her she is like a italian bike ,goes well for a while but breaks down a lot lol liams phone photos 032.jpg

Can't even say how many times I've been riding with friends, some have some bad ass bikes, and guys walk straight to mine. They have to pick up their tongue's seriously. I get asked questions every place we stock. Questions like, I've never seen one - to man, haven't seen a VFR in awhile and not that clean.... They go on and on and these comments are the way I feel hence me buying the bike in the first place! Plus the motor reminds me of racing my 450F dirt bikes a few years ago - I miss terribly :(!
