    Hey guys

I find my self struggling with a serious moral and spiritual question. WHICH ONE? Next weekend is the 2010 Southest G2G at the Dragon's tail, and I have two Interceptors that are both running good, new brakes, good tires, etc.

In the red corner, at 24 years old and still kicking out plenty of carburetor fed horsepower, the 1987 VFR700 F2

In the blue corner, the much younger, bigger version, four year old, fuel injected, VTECH 2007 VFR 800.

I can't make my mind up. Will you guys do that for me?

As an owner of an '86 my thought is go with the '87...unless the 2007 is an anniversary.

    Nah, go old school.

It depends. If you want to be more unique go with the old. If you prefer to have a little more comfort and security, go with the new... I don't have the same problem since I only have one VFR, it has to handle all my duties... not doodies.. god forbid it had to handle those...

Okay i was out giving the 87 some hell the other day and .... whoa loud leaking noise. At first thought it was exhaust i shut down and looked around, to find nothing looking loose. limped the bike home, and upon inspection, a spark plug just up and decided to jump out. (?) I have never touched the plugs on this bike, but hey , now the rear 2 are securely in place. The front 2 aren't as easy to get to, so I haven't inspected (time) but all of this is only adding to the stress of WHICH ONE?!?!?

Since the plug went back in, bike sounds great, runs great (imagine, all 4 cylinders firing!)

I can't figure out why your blue '87 is in the red corner and why your red '07 is in the blue corner...

Take the '87 cuz lots of newer VFR folks may never have actually seen one.

Point out the precise and elegant shock preload adjuster (which they lack) as well as the intoxicating gear wine and the thermostat that can be changed in 10 minutes.
