I'm looking at getting an exhaust for my 05 vfr and can't decide what to get.I'm torn between the Leo Vince and the Two Brothers.I don't plan on adding any other performance products so this should be considered.Another factor is that i just recieved the luggage set for the bike so will there be any conflicts between that and the pipes. Any help in making my decision will be greatly appreciated.

I have a set of Remus Titanium pipes on my 02 and they look and sound great. I have the Honda hard bags and have experienced no problems with the exhaust while the bags are mounted. Installation was very simple.

The Leo's and Two Brothers are also great choices. I have seen and heard both on YouTube.

The 2 Bros. has the cleanest fit and in my opinion looks the best. They are slightly louder than the Leo system and are also a 4 into 1 design. 2 Bros says that the 4 into 1 with a dummy can adds more torque than do the other aftermarket 2 into 1 systems.

I love the sound of mine, they do take several hundred miles of sparking and popping to break-in but worth it. Very deep and smooth sounding after break-in, hints of a V8, a scosh poppy during deceleration. Which I actually like. They are also lighter than the Leo set-up if that matters.

I'm looking at a 2005 tomorrow and if all goes well I'll be all smiles come Sunday. I like the fit and sound of the Two Brothers Exhaust but I might just gut the stock exhaust first.

    Hi,

I too have a set of Remus Titanium pipes on my bike, an 02. They sound just plain sexy! I love their sound, especially over 6,600rpm!!

I'd say Leo but thats not based on whats good for specifically for an interceptor but that Ive been told they are a higher quality pipe in general.
At the shop i work at the other day i saw a brand new two brothers that was just put on a FZ1 and it was smoking from the can, so i asked the mechanic why and he said its got cheap paper packing in it that burns when you ride for a while. Seeing a pipe smoking after it had just been installed and ran for about 3 minutes just really didnt impress me

that mechanic is a IDIOT .....

its not uncommon for ANY new system to "smoke" just after install. most have a thin coat of oil to protect the internals from corosion (ie. rust) prior to sale

IMO I like the looks of a shorter exhaust such as Leo's or Remus. I bought the Remus Ti because of its price verses Leo's. One thing I found though, Remus stopped making the Carbon Fiber exhaust if that is what you're looking for.

I bought the GPR thunder deeptone and the quality is exelent the sound is awsome. Iit is made from quality stainless steel much smaller and lighter than stock and has an awsome deep growl, all who hear it likes it. As for added hp I bought the bike last sept. and only put about 1k on it before installed the new can through the winter

Staintune is what I have and it's definitely "barkier" than two brothers which sounds more like a glass pack (muffled/toned down)

05 silvervfr started this thread back in May of 09 and never posted after his initial query. Wonder if he ever bought an exhaust! Surprise, from everyone's comments we all like what we've put on our bikes.

I like my Leos, better quality than Two-Bros i.m.o., but that's just my opinion. I would have bought Staintunes, but too pricey for my budget. Where'd 05 silvervfr go?

I rode with another VFR who had two brothers cans and really didn't like the sound. I prefer my gutted exhaust. It's all preference though gutting the stock cans is way cheaper than slip ons.

Well I bet ya can't smuggle a cheeseburger across the border in your Leos. I double dog dare ya to try that trick! Ya need the Stash from TBR if you want to pull that off clean and without the smell of crispy bacon in the air. :peaceful:

But seriously, I buy the pipe that looks the best to me or comes already installed on my latest VFR. It just happens that TBR pipes seem to keep showing up at my place and I'm not complaining.

Hey what's with all these ancient threads suddenly coming back from the grave?
