where to mount a ac/dc inverter?

If i listen to music, gps, browse the web and txt for hours it runs my pda battery down pretty quick. so i need to find a way to mount my ac/dc inverter. where should i put it.

conditions apply...

obviously I need to be able to plug stuff in, tho i can use an extension cord to a more convenient place.

I also need to be able to get to the on off button to the inverter. it geeks out if its on when you start the vehicle.

what worries me the most is weather. if it is sprinkling and or raining moisture could get pulled into the inverter by its fan. as well as raining when i forget to cover the bike. I suppose i could build some sorta filter that would "dry" the air.

what is the most practical way to do this?

 

This is just for your PDA? Can you use a simple 12v cigarette lighter power cord?

 

ill have to see if there is a car charger available for it. if so thats a pretty good idea.

 

I think about the 12v car jack mod often. I have seen several mods from loose under the seat to near the dash. I like the clean look mounted on one of the flat surfaces of the side panel. The 5th gen has the upright rear facing surface on the upper part of the fairing just under the handle bars. I think it would look good there.

I do not use electronics during flight very often so I have not done it.

I already own the converter. dont own a dc charger.

That said i cannot see them bein too much.
