Just bought my bike and it came with only a single key. Who still makes keys for these bikes?

Sorry if this is a repost, I searched but came up snakeyes.

A lot of dealers don't make keys. They'll sell you a blank, but I'd just go to a locksmith. They'll have the correct blank, although it won't be the nice Honda key, but you'll have a spare.

I got my 5th GEN this past July and only one KEY. I found a local hardware shop that had a honda blank and made me a key. You have to find the old hardware shops in the old part of town, the ones were everything cost twice as much but they have everything. You know the ones. NOT lowes , h depot. Ace they didn't have one. You might try an old established locksmith shop. Actually thats how I found one I called the locksmith and He told me go to this little hardware shop that they might have it.

I've found some blanks online for a 200 model. Wonder if that'll work...?

Getting two cut today. I lost the only key to my new (to me) 2000 model. Had to take the ignition off and take into them. Waiting...
They thought it might have a transponder in it. I dont think so

Just to confirm, the 5th gen ignition keys are not chipped, and just a regular key?

Correct, the 5th gen key is NOT chipped. I bought blanks, and had them cut at a local Ace hardware. Seems like pretty much anybody can cut them for you.

5th gen 98-99 is not chipped, but 00-01 is chipped (HISS). This is in Europe, could be different in US.
