You can order whatever individual parts you need through Honda dealers.

You do not need a "rebuild kit" it is not a car. Just a new float needle, and make sure the pilot jet is clean. Make sure you can see daylight through the pilot jet it.
Don't touch anything else . Then sync the carbs and ride it. I'm serious.

    Read this again.

I just ordered the float needles...

I dont know that I need the main or pilot jets.

What are the signs that they to be replaced?

Should I just clean the hell out of everything and replace only the floats?

there would be a ridge worn into the rubber seat at the tip of the needle. the ridge prevents the needle from seating well and can cause either a rich condition or in the worst case, float bowl overflow.

Float needles need to be replaced once in a while because the rubber tips can get crushed or degraded.
If they leak a little you may not know they are until it runs poorly, or you find out your oil level is going UP!

When you say clean the HELL out of everything it worries me.
Do the least possible unless you are sure of what you are doing.
Just replace the float needle, make sure the idle jet is clear and you can see daylight through it,and the float bowl is clean. Make sure to put in a new fuel filter between the tank and carb.
    Thats all.

Tonight I will re-inspect everything and gently but thoroughly clean everything....making sure I can see the light.

When the parts are in I will put in new float needles.

I am sure you are right about the mains/pilots - they cant be that old since they are from dynojet and original to the bike. But as I am understanding it, they should hardly ever need changing anyway.?.

    Thanks

Make SURE to write down the mainjet sizes AND the pilot jet sizes.
You will need a magnifying glass possibly to read the numbers.
It is on the side of the head of each jet.

Really crapped- up slow jets are not easy to clean 100%, so consider buying new ones @ about $5 each.

Whenever needles are replaced the float levels should be checked again.

(I'm older than you, Don, but couldn't have built your custom....... nice job !)

Just put them in some carb cleaner or brake cleaner (trichlorethyelene) use compressed air.
