My apologies if this is in the wrong forum. I wasn't sure where I should put this... anyway.

I have a metal heat shield for my 1986 VFR750 and I can't remember where it goes. I think it sat behind the rear exhaust pipes to protect the shock... anyone remember for sure or can you take a picture of it on your bike? I checked the manual and online and can't find anything.

This is what it looks like.

    Thanks.

Mounts to frame between rear headers and shock. Should have lower rubbers and rubber isolated collars on top.

Like it looks like it does...

Thanks everyone... I'll need to crawl under there and look. But I think I know what you mean.

With limited access to that area, you probably won't be able to install the shield unless the engine is out of the frame. :disturbed:

I found where the heat shield went today. I was swapping out the swing arm and saw it went in front of the shock.

No problem. I didn't remember at all. I just looked and saw two holes.
