I got mine balanced at the local Bearepairs Tyre dealer. The wheel fit in their balancer just like a small car wheel... The guys were so happy to play with a bike for a couple of minutes they didn't even charge me

NB. Turned out it was fine without any weights anyway.

The bike shop I took my wheels to has to "borrow" the car shop next door wheel balancer for the rear wheel, due to the offset.

Cycle Gear mounted and balanced my new PR3's and they were especially careful with my white rims. They even had white weights. Yeah!

Hope this dude gets rid of those beads first and can find a bike shop closer to Long Beach, MS than Escondito, CA.

Best IMO to have both wheels balanced.

ended up having to take it to coast cycle world. the same guys that charged me $120 for an oil change then when i got home i figured out that the reason my bike was running like shit is cause it was almost a quart and a half low on oil. then when i went in there to complain they charged me (or tried to) $15 a quart for the oil. the service manager tried to get in my face and the whole thing ended in violence! but, i had heard that the service manager had been fired and that they were trying to save their reputation ( they are known for being dicks) and none of the car shops around here could balance my tire. so i took it there, not even knowing if they would call the cops the second i walked through the door. they were real friendly and balanced my tire for free but, too little too late! i will drive right past them and go the extra 15 miles or so to biloxi to suzuki city every time!! that is if i have a choice.

I just did my oil change and my bike took 3 quarts, and the level is right at the top line.
So to be 1.5 quarts low, means they only put about 1.5 quarts in, which is all kinds of wrong. And call me crazy, but I always thought an oil changed ended with checking the oil level via dip stick or sight window?
Maybe doing that on purpose hoping the bike comes back in needing engine work?
Oh and I took my rims to a honda stealership and they didn't give me any probs balancing, only issue was they knew it was for a 98 vfr and didn't put the correct air pressure in, put 30lbs in both the front and back and called it day. Not a huge deal but for $50 I was annoyed.

yes john, a lot of drama indeed!

rollin, if i ride 6 hours with an out of balance rear tire no less, shouldnt there be a beer waiting on me when i get there? just sayin, lol

and billy, i ran the honda semi synthetic but switched to the mobile one full synth motorcycle oil when it was recommended to me by candyred. i dont know whats the best oil but candyred seems to be pretty knowledgeable and it cost half what the honda stuff does.

Lots of drama queens on here. Scratching their fairings and 5mph lowsides.

If your rear wheel is out of balance in six hours you many need more than one beer and some Preparation H.

Of all these oils that are around, there has to be one that is best.
