Hello, I recently purchased a 1984 VF500F with 14k miles for $450. The previous owner bought it running but ended up selling it because it quit running. I have since been going through it over the winter uncovering the mess the previous owners left. A carb pack held together with JB weld and the wrong intake boots are good examples. Safe to say it was easy to figure out why it wasn’t running, I got a really good deal on a used carb pack on eBay and put the right size intake boots on. To my relief I got it to run and idle, however it seems someone before me didn’t value his hearing and put hollowed out VF750F baffles on the exhaust system. I can feel the ground shake at 1,200 RPM’s. Thus I began searching for either original or aftermarket baffles but to no avail. Seems that all of the popular aftermarket bike exhaust brands have discontinued the sets that fit the Interceptors. I did find a set of aftermarket baffles for a VF400F that look similar to the 500’s stock ones but I’m unsure if they will fit. Does anyone know if they will work or know of a baffle set that’s out there? Thanks.

Thanks for the info, I managed to find a full OEM system for cheap and figured I would take a chance on it because my current system leaks from every connection.
