when did the 87 vfr700 go digital ignition?

    anyone have a sn start up on when the 87 ,700,s went to digital electronic ignition? and what was the difference? i noticed the 86 models had a cam sensor and does not show one for the 87..thought i might pick up another black box just for spares..tnx gregg

    The 87's were not prone to failure like the 86 CDI's were so I would not sweat it.
