I've been searching for a rear wheel for my 95 VFR. Been emailing cycle salvages, nobody has mailed me back. Anyone got the hookup on VFR wheels? Also, what generations of wheels will fit on a 95? Will the newer (99+) Interceptor wheels fit on ours?

Noel: For sure, you can put a 94-97 (4th gen) on it. They come up periodically on Fleabay. For the rears, I also think that other gens with the single sided arm will work as will a Hawk NT650 rear rim but with some hub mods for the different attachment. Not sure why you would want to do that one as it's narrower (a lot narrower) and the swap is usually to put the wider viffer rim on the Hawk.

IIRC your gen has a slightly narrower rear rim 5" as opposed to 5.5" on the 3g and 5G bikes so if you want a wider rear tire (180/55-17 as opposed to your 170/60-17) you may *want* to put a gen before or after on it. My bike (3G) has the 5.5 on it but came with a 170/60-17 from the factory and this seems to turn in better than the 180/55-17 in any event IMO.

    Cheers....
