Okay, my tires are now done for and I have my new ones ready to go. So here is the question: What color should I have my wheels powder coated?

I liked the way FJRider's VFR turned out, being a red VFR with the red wheels. I'm not sure the yellow VFR will look as good with yellow wheels. I could just go back with the stock black color but it doesn't seem to really do a lot different for the overall look. I thought about going with a metalic/pearl shade of silver or grey. I read up on the polishing and it looks cool but from what I read it can be a pain to up keep. They said they did have a "Chrome looking powdercoat" that might not look to bad either. What do you guys think? Yellow 5th gen with _________ (what) color wheels.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

regarding polished wheels: since polishing my wheels, I have had no problem "keeping them up". I just put a coat of wax on them when I wax my bike, and use aluminum polish about twice a year. If you want to stand out, consider a bright blue powder coat on your wheels. I have seen this on yellow bikes before, and thought it looked great. To get an idea of what your bike will look like with different colors, get colored poster paper and set up against your wheel and step back and use your imagination! Good luck.

Hey BTAY; I have a y2k vfr also. It currently has the black rims. I am thinking that
silver may be a good color. How about spray painting your wheels the color that you want. You can do it pretty inexpensively and if they really look crapy you can try another color until you get the desired look. eddie
