What's the story on front turn signals?

    New to VFR's and need some sage advice. I've seen the flush mount and the stalk type on both 86 & 87 VFRs. What is stock? I am bringing back an 86 VFR from the dead and have an upper fairing with the stalk holes as well as an outline/grooves for the flush mount type. Any thoughts?

    stock lights were on stalks, but most of us go with the flush mounts cuz they're clean and dont leave gaps in the fairing
