What's a good price for a 2007 VFR, all stock, ABS and 10k miles?

    Thanks

I paid $5800 for my RWB with the luggage, some cool exhaust and a few other mods, NO abs, and 10500 on the clock. It was also Dealership new clean

That was a pretty good deal. There are a lot for sale out there, but without ABS. How much more value is added to bike for having ABS?

I don't know the answer to that, but I DO know I wouldn't ride an ABS bike. Not something you want if you ride the twisties. You dont need your brakes pulsating at the wrong time...

I would guess somewhere in the 5k range, dependent upon the condition of all the specifics.

I don't have much on the ABS argument, but I DO know that I have locked up the brakes and slid on the tires ...unintentionally. Would ABS have prevented that? Probably.

A good deal would be anything under $5000. A realistic asking price would be someewhere in the $5500 range.

I purchased my '06 in black last fall (this means lower prices) for $4700.
    It had:
    7500 miles
    Perfect, like new condition
    Brand new BT-014 tires
    Throttlemeister Throttle Lock
    Double bubble + OEM windscreen
    Motorcycle cover
    Tank bag
    Tail bag
    OEM seat cover

I felt like it was a good deal, mostly because I would have purchased most of the extras on my own. Don't include the price of extras you don't want in whatever you're willing to offer for a bike.

I just found some side cases (new) for $774, thanks to this forum. So total price with side cases was $5475, which I think is a really good deal. Over two months last fall, I saw nothing in like new condition with side cases for under $6K Most that I saw with side cases were over $6,300, and prices are going to go up soon due to spring coming around.

Not sure if this helps, since it's been almost 13 months since I bought my 2007.

It's Candy Red with Helibars, ABS, seat cowl, heated grips, Honda bags, throttlemeister, and the little windshield extra (not sure what it's called) that helps block wind. I paid $6k for it. It had ~ 6400 miles on it. I pretty much stole the bike IMO. To be honest, I wouldn't take that for it now, and I have 11,200 miles on it. I have no intention of selling it, but would probably ask ~6700-6900 for it if I did. Would probably try and get at least 6500 for it. But - it's loaded with everything I want (except a slipper clutch).

I think when it was a "new" bike, it was about a $1,000 option, give or take. So if you're seeing prices with ABS that are, say, $400 to $700 more than those bikes without ABS, I don't think that's too bad.

There's always going to be "great deals" and "steals" that take place. Hell, every time I buy myself a new TV, 60 days later theres a bigger and nicer one that comes along and its $500 cheaper. Shit happens. I'd never buy anything if all I was going to do was second guess myself and wonder if I could have gotten it cheaper.

The comments from everyone above give you ballpark on what to expect. Obviously if someone wants $8,000, then you walk away. If you find one for $5,000, then you got a great deal.

Hard Bags can add to the price as well.

But its your money. If you're comfortable spending it, then get the bike that makes you happy. I have no doubt that when you're eating up the miles on a sunny afternoon, you ain't going to be thinking "if I only had paid $200 less for this bike, I'd be really happy...".

Haha, where were you last fall? That's exactly the bike I was looking for. RWB is my favorite, my black does match my car though...
I was born 18 minutes after the fourth, and I think that might be part of my attachement to the RWB.

I'm looking at 2007 rwb non abs 4500 miles. Leo Vince pipes, power commander, heli bars, race tech front internals, Corbin seat for $5800. Deal or no deal. Not in a rush but would like get to riding for the summer. Would better deals pop off after riding season?

sounds like a good deal to me. the bike is brand new. just be advised that the first valvle check is coming up and that's gonna add soemthing like $800 or so to the cost... I think at 16k miles is when you get it...

And, on a side note, I've spoken to acouple (maybe 3) honda mechanics and they all have said that the valve check at 16K is not needed. They said that "most times, a 32k valve check is also a waste. Unless you're having problems." My bike at 16k, they only looked at the top half (they didn't have the tool for the bottom half adjustment...whatever that tool may be) and they said I needed no adjustments.

I found out that the Corbin seat is custom for a taller rider. I'm a short guy, anyone got options to a "low" seat. I also want a set of bags if anyone has some for sale, whether they be givi or oem.
