I can't seem to find a picture of a VFR that looks anything like my 2005 VFR. Here is a pretty poor picture of my VFR but, I think you can get the idea.

I don't have any VFR markings on the bike. It also has a diagonal black section on the bottom with Honda across the bottom. The reason I ask is I need to replace a side panel where it was dropped. But, I want to be certain that I'm ordering the right panel. I don't think this is any kind of custom paint job. I'm confused.

That was never a stock paint scheme in the US to my knowledge, you may have to get a red one and have it custom painted to match

If this is an aftermarket paint job they sure did one insanely good job. I have no idea how I would get a panel painted to match. And it sure isn't financially reasonable to replace both panels.

Not to be an ass, are you sure it's not a vinyl?? Probably wouldn't be too bad to paint match it if you take the old panel to the painter it should make his life easier. The HONDA at the bottom you'll probably have to get as a vinyl tho I would think.

I'm certain it's not vinyl. It's paint. The Honda at the bottom is a decal. The closer I look at it the lower black section looks like it may have been done later. But, It's one unbelievably clean line. This VFR is an odd duck. It's had all kinds of unique customization's done to it. My son-in-law did a little low side on the opposite side at about 25 mph. So, it's pretty torn up. I don't think it is repairable. But I could be wrong. No broken panel but definitely deep gouges. My insurance totaled the bike. The repairs were more than 75% of the cost of the bike. But they paid it off and I bought the bike back for $450. All the damage was cosmetic. But the upper and lower cowls and a few misc things pushed the bike over the limit. So, I'm still on the positive side of the cash flow. It will cost me about $1000 to replace all the damaged parts with factory stuff.

I don't wanna screw anyone out of a sale here, but the full set he's selling is an aftermarket Nice Cycle set, plus whatever factory plastics he has around but I get the feeling they may be rashed as well. Plus shipping from Alaska might be a bit much.
