Ok I am just looking around online at used bike and I found a place on the other side of the state that has a couple bikes I know nothing about.

    2000 Honda RVT1000R RC-51 for 5100

1998 Honda CBR1100XX for 4299 - 11,+++ miles, other bike does not say.

Now I had a guy with a busa tell me the 1100XX are crazy bikes, faster then anything well besides a busa. I am looking for something sportier then my 03VFR. I like the V-twin of the RC-51, but are they really good bikes. I just want to know what you guys think, probably won't be picking either of these up right away but if I run into either one next year I might pick one up.

    RC-51, or SP1 in europe,
This is Hondas attempt to build a Ducati like twin. This is not a race replica but a racer for the street. head down butt up rider position not very comfy over any distance much less in stop and go traffic. In 2001 the SP-2 was introduced and corrected a few problems with the first run, issues with the frame geomentry I believe and engine mapping. They have a great sound though.

    CBR1100 XX Blackbird,
Regarded by many as the smoothest inline 4 made by Honda or anyone else. The first Hyperbike with a topend somewhere over 175mph. Heavy (except at speed) or so I have read. Comfortable as compared with other like minded bikes, Hayabusa or the newer liter plus sized Kawasakis. First couple of years were equiped with carbs, only real change in production run was to fuel injection I think in 2000 and still available in europe.

Well the question is --- Do you wanna go scary fast in a strait line? Or, burn corners like no tomorrow? Answer that and you have your bike.,,

both bikes rip! the blackbird is more comfortable for longer rides(not in comparison to a vfr though) The question is do you want to sit on the bike for more than an hour at a time? Neither one would suit me to go across country but I wish I hade both in the stable!

Well I guess it would be a more around town bike for me. And I would take it out of town but no longer then the black hills(360miles away). I just feel out of place with everybody around here with there GSXR'S and R1's and 6's. I want my next bike to be something with a little more fun. I feel like the guy on the huge bike that nobody can hear. I am not getting rid of the VFR but I want to go a different direction with my next bike. I have my touring bike, now I want something with a little more attitude. Now I know top speed is not my thing, so maybe the RC would be the better choice. I just wanted to know if there were any problems or reasons one would be better then the other besides riding style. Are carbs something you don't really want to deal with if you don't know how, would that be a reason to stay away from the 1100xx. I probably would like something with a deaper sound too. So I think I would go with the RC.
