i want to buy a bike for this summer and i really like the feel of the vfr. I am in college so i dont have much money so i can only afford a 1st or second gen. i found an add in craigslist of a '84 vfr 700f. they only want 1000$ or trade for a car. i have a car to trade which is worth about the same. he has put a lot of work into the bike's vitals (electronics, brakes, cleaning out engine, etc.) but the cosmetics are pretty bad, also when he put the carbs back on he couldnt get them balanced and he says it is running rich. how much work will it take for me to get that fixed? and is it worth it?
