Got an 83 vf750f interceptor, just replaced the rockers, any suggestions either way as to which engine oil to use synthetic, semi synthetic or mineral?

My other bikes never gave me a problem with mineral, but as the old vf has oiling problems would synthetic be that much of an improvement?

There has been a lot of debate on that subject. But on your old bike I would go with a synth/dino blend. Golden Spectro is a good example. Full synth on older machines tend to invite oil leaks.

My 83 has had Golden Spectro blend since new. It now has 53k on it with the original cams yet. There was a service bulletin way back about the oil orifice bolt in the engine case by the clutch slave. It was made for more volume, larger holes. I still have the original if for specs. Pull yours and measure the hole or take a photo and I'll take a look to see if yours has been replaced. If not you may want to enlarge the orifice holes. I did try regular automotive oil one (had no choice) I drained it in 500 miles. Motor was noisier and the tranny shifted hard and loud. Honda oil is good also. The Golden Spectro full syn would work good also but cost more and is not really needed.
