Looking at two different CBRs one is a 07, and the other a 06. The 06 has a different seat, did the make them like this, or is it not a CBR. I know 06 and 07 arn't that different, so i'm I missing anything?

CBR F4i has always had a one piece seat. The CBR600RR has a 2 piece seat. The F4i is an awesome bike and basically the predecessor to the RR. Honda dropped the F4i from its lineup after the 06 model year. Still don't get that one. RR will have more HP, but the F4i is no slouch itself. You'd do well with either.

True both are cbrs but the f4i did come with 2 piece seats a couple of years,my wife has 03 with2 piece seat. The f4i was the street sport bike and the rr was the track sport bike.Yamaha did the same sorta thing with the r6 and yzr i think it was called. The street versions had softer suspensions and milder engine tuning along with more upright seating .Kawi did this by keeping old ninja models and badging them as zzr models when new ones came out.
