What is the charge voltage on the 2002?

I was reading a bit about all the electrical issues the vfr800 is known for and decided to go out and check my battery voltage.. it was 12.0v after about 40min ride today and when i start the bike up it rises to 13.5 and seems to stay there... does this sound normal? i know previous bike would go up to 14.10... so just checking if this a typical voltage range...

Today I took the battery in and it tested bad...so replaced it under warranty with the last owners receipt he sent me.....
