Hello everybody. I'm looking at making an offer on a friends 2006 vfr. It doesn't have abs. It does have oem saddlebags and top trunk. Heli risers. 13000 miles. Pearl white. I've taken the bike on a couple quick rides and I absolutely love it. I would say its an 8.5/10. What would be a good and fair offer? He is thinking of selling but hasn't made it official yet. I would like to get it before anyone else even has the opportunity.

In the US of A I would offer no more than 5k
Seen it is in Canada my guess would be around $5500 to 6000
I am sure zoom zoom and Jethro or Randy will chimp in shortly
    :welcome: to our little world

There are two 2006 VFR's in my area going around the $5000 - $6000 range and both have less than 20,000 km's. Check with a local motorcycle dealer and ask what a fair retail price would be if they were going to sell the bike and see if there are any others in your area that are for sale and make an offer that you think is reasonable. You could also ask him directly what he thinks is a fair price. Since he is a friend, you don't want to insult him by making too low an offer but by the same token you don't want to overpay. There are a lot of US members on this site and quite a lot from out in eastern Canada as well so a lot of the estimates you get on price may be far off what it is worth in your area. I think the heli-bars are worth about $300 Canadian and the factory luggage is likely worth maybe $1000 extra as well.

I used to live in Sherwood Park many many years ago when I was younger. Still have some very fond memories of growing up in a house on Acacia Court. Sometimes I wonder if the house is still there.

All the best with your purchase and don't forget to post the mandatory pics of the bike once you get it or as you may have noticed from other posts that no one will believe you are a new VFR owner. LOL Welcome to the site and have fun.

In Ontario a 2006 would be 6000 + probably closer to 7k depending on condition but you see them listed for more than that. It doesn't meant that they sell for more of course.
