My mom was just in a motorcycle (scooter) accident and sustained severe (but not life-threatening) injuries. Her arm and leg were broken badly, and she is still pretty rough, but her helmet surely saved her life. It took 5 hours or so for the surgeons to fix her arm/elbow, and there is still too much swelling in her leg to attempt to set the bones, but she is stable, although in a lot of pain. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, and WEAR YOUR HELMETS!!!

The world would go to hell in a hand basket if there were no good moms! We need every one we can get. Take good care of her, and thank her for being a good example for wearing a helmet (and I hope ATGATT all the way). Get her well soon and keep us posted!
