    Hello Everyone,

I have been watching all the chater on why the VFR hasent gone in other directions, and i agree with so meny others lets get on with life, i dont mean to be rude at all or afend anyone i just think we are so lucky to be free and have choices and be able to ride anywhere and any time and the bike of our own choise ?

Maybe we should get our heads together and agree on a place and time for our VFR Convention ? lets pick a place where we can hang out but have a track to tare up, how about even two locations heck i might go to both and if we have a convention maybe our voice will be heard at Honda.

So what can we do to get the ball rolling for next year ? theres leaders and followers im shore one of us is experanced in that field ? heck if approched correctly we could even get Honda invalved.

Oh and by the way i think the 2007 colors could have been better hell i already have that color on four of my 86/87 bikes, i need to brake up the contrast and get a yellow 2000 ? BE HAPPY and watch out for looser driver
    tim (speedfreek)

    Well Lansonfloyd,
I realize that i was born with Dyslexia and have had to deal with it my whole life thanks for reminding me of my problem.
However my opinion remains the same and thats what is important.
And just to set the record straight I ride every day which is around 340 days a year and have done so for 24 years.
Oh and when im bored I dont click "clicky pens" . :caked:

you have dyslexia, I have ocd. I mentioned the issue of your wording because it makes it hard to understand the context of your message. With so many words mis-spelled but still pronouncable, it makes the post hard to comprehend, as "tare" is different then "tear", and "break" to "brake", "shore" to "sure", and so on. People hide agendas in paragraphs like that. Poets and script writers do it too. But, to fully understand the meaning of someone's intentions, it helps to make "sure" the word you've typed is indeed the one you intend.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I just wanted to make you aware that your writing is mistakenly taking away from your intentions, I think.

    No harm intended.
    No harm intended.
    No harm intended.

    See? OCD sucks too! :brick:

I'd be down for a West Coast meet. I mostly want to see other peoples mods :) Although a track day would be cool.

I was a bit distracted by the spelling also. I thought maybe it was an intentional thing, though. Not offended, and I don't care. To each his own. Remember, tone is hard to convey in a message and don't sweat the small shit. I usually try to assume if someone flames me they were either kidding or they didn't mean to.

As far as the meeting goes, when are we talking? Spring 07? Summer? If we can settle on a time, I think that'll help us narrow down a place. I'm just gonna talk about the west one as there is little chance I would make it to an east coast run...

WOW. I must have "ADD" because I can't follow any of this chatter. One thing to say, (CHILL). ride on and be happy. Let the man slide, im married to a teacher so I can say with confidence that we have all the critics we need, or atleast I do anyway. Just "read between the lines" and take what you can from what people say or rather, what they attemp to say. Just take a moment to think about it before busting on them, it's not important how the message is passed on anyway, the point still get's through.

Let's lasso this topic and pull her back up front: In the case of a west coast meeting, Both Reno & Lake Tahoe got favorable reviews. Vegas was also mentioned a few times. I think if we decide on a time, it'll give us a better idea of where to go. Lake Tahoe is still pretty cool in the spring but Vegas is about right in the spring. I don't know Reno weather. What sounds better to you guys?

I'd be down for spring in Lake Tahoe. It's a gorgeous area with lots of great riding. Let's do it!

Tahoe is tough to beat I think and Reno is just a short ride away from there too. We'd need to be mindful of those late spring high Sierra snow storms though, I've seen them as late as May before. No real biggie, just flurries and cold ass wind.

So if we aim for June or July in Tahoe, we should be good on weather? I have only been to Tahoe once so am not that familiar with it. I wonder where we could do it there... A campground? Casino? Ideas? How many visitors do we think we could get?

I'd be in for Tahoe in June or July, I might have to bring the wing' if the wife wants come though. I suppose I could trailer it from WI too, but I've given to many candy ass's a hard time about trailering their bikes somewhere to ride, I'd have to eat major crow if I did that. A campground would likely be the least expensive & more casual than a casino, but hey these thing aren't cheap so I don't really care.

Targetting June is a safer bet, could still be a little chilly at night for a camp ground but there are pretty cheap places to stay up there the further away from the stateline/casinos you get. I go up there all the time as that's where my whole family lives, when the time comes I'll gladly shop for rates, etc.

My vote would be for everybody to pitch in and rent a cabin or two a short distance from Tahoe. That way we could talk shop and maybe do some minor partying as a group...

yeah, sounds good to me. now we have to see what size group we'd have and then we could get an idea of cost/needs etc... my wife says she usually has around the middle of june off so it would be good for her.

Im voting for Vegas ...... there is a road course there and that’s one thing high on my list. and June or July would work great for me. I also would like to stay in a casino, hotel or motel I have a thing for hot showers and a comfortable bed to sleep in ?

LAKE TAHOE....great place to get together and enjoy some fantastic scenery and roads. I've been going to Tahoe every year since 1950. Having said that...to enjoy this area on a bike I would recommend July or August. June can be be pretty chilly with snow in the higher peaks. Last year our Porsche 928 club stayed at a nice motel in the North Tahoe area, next to the ca$ino$. We had a private room for our dinner-night that turned out quite well. During the day we visited Virginia City
(historical silver mining town) via some nice twisties that would be great on a bike. If this sounds good I can retrieve the information about where we stayed, etc. and send it to you. I can hear the crap tables calling me.......$$
