Washington Oregon 6 Day Trip

Well my hubby and I decided to celebrate our 10 year anniversary by shipping the boys off to the grandparents and us taking a motorcycle trip together.

We left on July 31st from Delta, BC, Canada in the pouring rain and after sitting 21/2 hrs. in the boarder line up we finally made it across the line. We spent the next 6 days touring along the Washington and Oregon Coasts, Central Oregon and Washington hitting the Volcanic Chain and the last day flying up the I5 from Seattle back home. It was a great trip and we logged 2800KM....the longest ride I've ever done.

The VFR preformed flawlessly right up until we hit the mountains then she kept getting vapoured locked (we think) and she was a pain to ride, surging, bucking and generally loosing power....a real nuisance and made the ride not as enjoyable as it could have been!
After doing some reading on the forum looks like I'm gonna have to do some work on the O2 sensor, fuel mapping and the air injection system into the exhaust.....or just stay out of the mountains! Just kidding!

All and all I give the ride a big thumbs up!
Can't wait to go again!

Nice Photo album. Wish my wife was into riding. But she made it perfectly clear to me I would be riding while she remained at home shopping.
