I don't get it. BNSF is a long ways away and I haven't even been over a set of tracks with the bike in weeks.

battery tender, replace it. if you are planning on a long distance ride, you can be certain it will fail as far away as home as possible. wiremybike.com

No, I haven't installed Blue Tooth on the bike. I thought that little blue light on the dash meant it already had it. Curious that the light didn't blink like my phone and I don't know what it has to do with rail road tracks. Maybe the site search feature would be more helpful than you are.

the blue light on your dash means that there is a sale on at KMart. I buy all my underwear at KMart on 3250 West 65th Street in Cleveland. I did install bluetooth on my VFR and use it to dynamically adjust the traction control and air/fuel mix

Well SOB! I had no idea that such things were possible these days. I bet someone at Walmart is pissed they didn't think of this remote sale notification thingy. Could be a resurgence for Kmart ya think? Personally I prefer Pamida but they are nearly extinct. The last one I saw was in the Big Horns of WY and the fuel range on my Shadow won't allow me to get there. I think Pamida still sells those $9.99 Rustler brand jeans that fit like a cardboard box. My dad used to try and buy me those in High School when the rest of the cool kids were wearing Guess brand. Maybe if I got that new 1200 then that Indian immigrant who runs the 7-11 on the corner could notify me when there are sales on Slurpies? Between my new fear of R/R crossings and the fact that it wouldn't make it to Pamida either, it could prove to be a win for everyone.

Man, and here I thought the blue light on the dash was a notification that either your blinker fluid was low, or that your muffler bearing was going out...

    On a more SERIOUS note...

Is the stock R/R stout enough to be able to power the bike, and both GPS and an MP3 charger, or can I get an aftermarket one that boosts the output any?

Now you're just mocking me. EVERYONE knows that's just :bs: Blinker fluid was just a scam to take money from unsuspecting motor vehicle owners in warmer climates such as those below the 48th parallel. Unless you motor in Alaska or Canada then blinker fluid is completely unnecessary.

Muffler bearings became obsolete with the advent of the flux capacitor. The bearing technology was severely flawed due to heat expansion. DUH  no heat at engine startup means huge friction until the exhaust gas heats up, everything expands, and you get that nice air ride cushion between moving parts. Using a banana for lubrication is far superior and environmentally sustainable.

Consider they transport goods much heavier than a GPS and MP3 via R/R, I have to believe it'll handle it just fine. Around my area of the country, they regularly move car loads of coal. In other threads regarding this same topic, I've seen mention of a vfrness and a R/R with cooling fins to support the heat. Don't know what that's all about since I the diesel locomotives used to move shit down the R/Rs have huge radiators already. Maybe a little use of the search feature if another contributor doesn't pipe up soon with a more detailed answer to your question?

Ok, you guys are too funny. I am a young fellow and my babysitter back in the day would have us sit out by the road holding a " Your blinker fluid is leaking" sign. I can't count the number of tards that stopped and looked at their blinkers, and then screamed obsenities at us.

On the serious note, a VFRness is pretty cool, but with a little time and a few supplies, they are relatively simple to make. I just did one myself, but my R/R is still not charging properly, so now I think it might be the stator.

That's a cool babysitter in my book.

The manual should have a testing method to ohm out the resistance in the stator. Somewhere there is a PDF version of the manual but I prefer paper myself.

And what's with all the serious notes??
