The tail list assembly on my 07 RWB has started cracking where the turn signal lenses are glued to the tail light lens. Its a spidering crack on the right and a long crack down the length of it on the left. The dealer says its cosmetic and after taking it down once and taking pictures they want me to drop it off again to let a rep look at it . Not to pleased at this point. Anybody else have this issue. The white spot where the red meets the clear is where it spidered and the white line is the left. The bike is only five months old and I am not getting a warm fuzzy feeling from the dealership.

I've taken a closer look at my '07 and it is fine. I can't imagine that you should have any trouble getting it fixed. It is pretty obvious that it is defective and you are well within the warranty.

Your dealer should replace it no questions asked. If that's a problem call customer service and see what they say.

    Customer service?

I called customer service today and talked to Matt and after explaning the problem he suggested I go to another dealer. Not quite the response I was looking for. The dealer I have been dealing with is not the best so I thought about it and tried another. Brian at Carmichael Honda was very reseptive and sound eager to take care of the problem. :thumbsup:I need to get it down to start the claim with them. I will let ya'll know how it turns out.

It should be a simple procedure. Once they're able to inspect your bike all that needs to be done is prepare a repair order and get your new taillight ordered. Once it comes in they put that puppy on and you're good to go. The dealer (ie service dept) handles the rest of the process. The old tailight will no doubt get sent back to Honda for future reference.

    tail light

Stopped by my local yamaha dealer today to pick up parts, in the showroom was a fresh trade, 06 VFR800. Right side of the tail light is just like mine but worse. Ya'll may want to look at your tail light . Its not just my bike. It is wacko expensive. If your bike is still under warranty get it replaced.
