wanting something to do over the wintertime

well after my first year with my 87 gorgeous VFR700F2 i have to admit it is quite awesome. other than a small amount of mods that the previous owner did (front suspension, grips, wiring) the bike is quite quiet. i don't wanna spend a whole lot of money, especially considering i didn't spend much on the bike, but i want to make it a little more my own.

any small or rather inexpensive mods i could do over the winter to make it a little more fun. I really want to make it louder but don't feel like spending money on a new exhaust.

all ideas are appreciated, thanks guys!

 

It's real nice looking, I'm not sure I chop it up at all. Maybe e-bay a extra stock exhaust and chop that one up.
