Classic moto. If you’ve never ridden a V4 then you’re missing out. Smooth linear power, and the sound will take you to the halls of Valhalla. Supertrap mufflers, brand new rubber, tank has been cleaned and lined. CRG bar end mirrors, new renthal chain. I can keep going on. Gobs of new parts on it. Just went through a thorough renovation and restoration. Will throw in a new Black Widow rolling stand with sale.

 

Dude is high. Price and other.

Scratches everywhere. Upper cowl repainted... poorly. Turn signals... lame.

I'm not a fan of the turn signals or bar end mirrors. I wish sellers would be more up front about stuff like that. I don't need to know what's in the sales brochure. Tell me about the bike BEFORE I go out and look at it and see the obvious. I always ask... is there something I should know about the bike BEFORE I go out to look at it? Does it smoke or leak ANY oil anywhere?

 

Also, seat cover material is available in colors other than black these days. Maybe a grey closer to what came stock might have been a good choice to flow with the tank / side cover inset.

 

The RC26 is my all time fav. V-4. Probably because she was my first.

$6K is way too high and he'll never get it.

$3K is more in line with these machines......and for this one maybe less, due to overall condition.

I paid around $4,300 for the white '86 I bought from Ken Kaplan last November but it had the F2 updates, had been gone through mechanically, and overall was in nice condition. And had a GREY seat!

Restoring the OEM blinkers and mirrors is still on my "to-do list"!

Had me fooled Capt. I thought you were presenting your own bike for sale. About to say, "I think the gasoline has taken more effect than you think"..lol I will give him 1/4 of what he is asking for if he gives me $1k gas money.

 

What are the F2 updates?

Edit: I assume you are talking about it being the VFR700FII, with different dash, fuse box and color for 86.

 

Thank you! Paid more than some probably would but it's not easy finding these bikes in decent condition anymore, I don't have to tell you! And how often do you find them in White!
