I had a 1999 vtr1000 for about three years I just bought a 2007 25th anniversary vfr 800 and I can't tell anyone which is better but I like the interceptor to me the rideabulity seems better and at 9,000 rpm it pulls great and it has great engine braking like the vtr also insurance is less. So if I had to make a choice it has to be the vfr800!

VTR1000s ( FireStorms here ) with high mount spuds out Staintunes sound awesome but the VFRs V4 also sounds pretty good and at least you wont need to take a Jerry can of fuel with you while touring.

Had the privilege of doing back-to-back 300 mile days on a VTR and an '01 VFR. My impressions were that the VTR was more hooligan-fun; but the VFR was much better as an all-rounder. Not sure about specs; but the VTR had a lighter feel to me. Your impressions?

Oh... and welcome to the zoo lad, now :worthless:
