The design of the fairing on the VFR is to produce low preasure to draw the airflow from the engine out so why did Honda put a fan on the VFR that fights the natural ergonomics of this
I don't know but I will tell you that my VTR runs significantly cooler (measured by it's own gauge) than the VFR and that is even before the fan kicks in on both models.
Thanks Big_Jim that's what I thought because the blades isn't fighting against the natural wind blowing through the fan. Did you replace the blade or the entire fan and what year vtr blade did you Use?
Actually I have not done the swap. I have both a VTR and a VFR. I was making comment on the fact that the VFR seems to run hotter in all instances than the VTR. I don't know why. This is with or without the fans running. I have always wondered is Honda engineers don't treat all their water cooled motorcycle engines like air cooled engines. The temperature range is pretty broad.
