Hi Everyone, Has anyone tried adjusting the V-tec so the extra valves kick in at lower revs, say 4000 instead of just under 7000rpm?
Hello and welcome to the forum! I am not sure of how to do what you are asking, or if it is even possible, as the VTEC is oil pressure activated. You want more low-end bite I am assuming. Well, try adding some teeth to the rear sprocket, or dropping one on the front.
Thanks Jason, Changing sprockets was my next idea. The bike seems to run better when all valves are working, over 7000rpm, I just thought it would be interesting to see how it would ride if the Vtec kicked in the extra valves earlier. I've heard it may be possible to remove the vtec valves and put in standard ones, so the bike is always running with all valves working.
