I am considering getting a Vista Cruise (not Universal Vista Cruise or NEP) throttle lock for my 5th gen. Part number MCVICO.

Sound Off Recreational, Inc. - Cruise Control Products

Is this the right one to use with the 5th gen that does no require any modifying the throttle lock itself? I have read most of the previous posts on this, and someone said that one of them fits perfectly out of the box, but never did get a part number so not sure which model number of Vista Cruise to buy.

I have to remember now....I did get the Vista Cruise part #MCVICO. I ground a little clearance on the inside diameter of the throttle lock to make room for the flange on the throttle tube, and took a bit off the thumb adjuster because with my Heli bars, it was lightly touching the tank, which might not be a problem with the stock bars. Adjusted it with the threaded adjusting screw on the back, and works like a charm. Sooo nice on tours to lock the throttle and give the wrist a rest,...stretch,...eat a hamburger and floss my teeth. Ok, just kidding about that last part.

Seriously, best $18 I have spend on the bike.

Don't get the one that attaches with a long lever on it that clamps to the grip. The lever is so long and there is so much play that it is difficult to dial in your speed.

    Hope that helps.
