As you may have noticed, we needed one more day of maintenance, which was NOT anticipated.

Basically, as part of the recent upgrade, we moved to a new server host as well. It turns out the new server did NOT perform well, and some of you may have noticed lagging, timeouts, etc.

So today, we moved back to the original host, and things are running much smoother.

And, I know that some of you do not prefer the new software - there are definitely things that will be a bit different and will take some getting used to. But please know that we actually had no choice, because we were running on outdated software that was having some big issues. I'm doing my best to make the new site work similar to the old site, and I'm always open to feedback.

I really really appreciate everyone's patience, this has NOT been a fun experience, to say the least! But, I think we're getting close to things being stabilized. Again, thanks for all your support of VFRworld.

Just saying a huge thanks for putting up with all this. I had my own personal dealings today with a web site hosting issue, I can only imagine what you went through on your level. I bow to your patience and persistence in making our VFR world a better place.

Working in the world of computers and networks I know the pains of dealing with servers and software so I commend you on your efforts, it definitely is appreciated Michael.

I'm actually really liking the new upgrade. Sure there are some growing pains, but this new platform is much much better than the one that VFRD went with.
