My 98 has about 16k and I've had it since new. I started to notice a slight head shake between 60-50mph (slowing down). To make a long story short, I mounted up a new Dunlop Qualifyer this summer and it's gone!!

Also had a vibration under light braking. Installed new pads which were needed(stock Honda - best fit and performance) and the vibration was worse! Got a set of Braking Wave Rotors and vibration's gone.

Love this bike!! Only aftermarket parts:

    Scott steering stabilizer
Fox Twin Clicker (not made any more - suggest a Penske which I have on my 04 VTR. A great shock with alot of after-sale support)

Installed a Gold Valve set-up in the VTR complete with springs. Probably needed some tuning but with rebound set full soft, could shake your teeth out but probably fine for the track... too old for that though. Put the original forks back on with the Race Tech springs. That's the ticket.

    Happy Holidays
