VFR800 5th 6th 7th Gen Wet Weight?

Hello all,

I put my bike on the scales and was very surprised to find my 2002 6th Gen VFR800 Vtec only weighed 233kg or 514 pounds fully gassed up with Givi rack installed. I was very happy about it My bike is the non ABS version with custom down pipes and Scorpion cans. Can these mods really be saving that much weight?

What do your bikes weigh?

I haven't weighed my Gen5, but I do read specs that vary....... if it helps....

Gen5 per Owner Manual 463 lbs. dry, FSM says 463 dry for California, and 520 wet.
2005 Owner Manual says 408 dry.
2002 FSM says 470 dry, Curb weight 538 and ABS model 549.

 

Yeah, that's what I read too. Guess I have a light VFR
