My VFR's horn was working intermittently, and now doesn't work at all- i have removed the horn and tested it and it works fine on 12v. Does the horn circuit have a relay ? and can someone tell me - where is it ? as I suspect the relay has gone dud. I did look a the fuse box but there seems to be no horn fuse so cant be a fuse ( and fuses either work or not , dont go intermittent ) Thanks

    No relay.

Fuse E: Turn Signal / Brake / Horn

Spray some WD40 in around your horn button.

Use a test light or multi-meter at the Horn connectors to test for power

thanks for your reply - tried spray around the horn switch - no change - odd thing though , the two wires from the horn switch, i tested those with a meter, figured when the horn button is pressed, it should create a circuit, but it doesn't, so wondered if there was a relay. Borrowed another switch block and its horn button doesnt produce a circuit either so cant work out why it doesnt if there is no relay. Boy is the fuse box a pain to get to check ,,

I love happy endings. Yeh, you can take the cover off where the fuse box is which is a must. Try changing the wiring harness on one off these bikes if you wana scream
