vfr750 fm fuel tap bracket

hi all,ive recently had the bracket off for the fuel tap in the left hand fairing,i know that it fixes into the fairing by 3 screws but there is another leg with a hole in,my question is does this slot between the fairing and upper fairing mounting subframe or underneath the upper fairing subframe.I think it slots in between but im not sure and don't want to raise the upper fairing and cause unnecessary stress if it doesn't belong there,i cant find anything in the manuals telling me how this arm locates

 

The US-spec bikes did not get the remote fuel tap, so the tumbleweeds will be blowin' on this topic on this forum, I'm afraid! I can have a look on my FP at the weekend (the fairing's off at the moment).
