how much torque does the stock 500 have. I am looking at a suzuki gs500 also now. I live in florida and illinois so I have the vfr in illinois and I trying to compare the two. I found this on craigslist . and Im tempted to buy it but I i dont know if it would pull me as well as the vfr500. Im 6'0 225 and my vfr will pull really well for me. But I dont know if the gs500 will pull the same. there is a 20 hp difference but I can seem to find the torque.what do you guys think?

    What year GS? I think the hp/torque of an older GS is 52 hp/30.4 ft-lb(4.2 kg-m). The VF500 should be around 68 hp/30.4 ft-lb (4.2 kg-m).

I want to add a 500 to my line up as well but I will be holding out for a nice low mileage 1986 VF500F.
