vfr1200 mirror part required

Hi, can anyone help. My vfr1200 fell over and cracked the lower section of the black coloured left hand mirror stalk. I don't need the whole mirror asssembly, just the bit that connects to the bike. All the part companies want to sell the full mirror section at over £115 or $170 for you US users. Can anyone help? Perhaps you had a similar thing with just the mirror broken, bought the whole part and now have the bit I'm after spare.

Willing to pay reasonable money for it.

I paid 228 euro last winter at the local Honda dealer for a complete mirror. It was urgent as I'd fallen.
Later I discovered that www.Tenkateshop.com offers the same OE mirror at less than half the price. D'oh!

I thought I just needed the black part, but turned out I needed the complete mirror. So best check that first. Both parts are damaged from the fall.

And to not take half the bike apart for the wiring, I just cut and soldered. The bike's my only form of transport so like I said: it was urgent.
