if you're planning on changing your VFR1200 brake fluid, follow Honda's tip in the service manual (and the Mityvac manual) and remove bleeder screws and wrap threads with teflon tape to prevent air from leaking past threads...save yourself the trouble and do it before you flush system (careful not to cover oil hole in tip)....aside from that, it's a pretty straight forward job, no special tricks with the C-ABS except for bleeding the front left upper piston with the rear...recommended service interval 2 years or 12,000 mi

Thanks for the tip! How many miles do you have on your 1200 now?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but don't you introduce air into the line when you pull the bleeder screw, wrap it with teflon tape and reinstall it? Thanks.

Yes. Then you bleed the brakes.

So...I guess it was a dumb question :eek:hwell: I should have asked, does much brake fluid leak out? I would imagine that leaving the cap on would minimize the flow.
